Jan 1st, 2023. Day 3 of my TN to CA road trip. Rolled into the most ominous Zion. Snow kept a rapid pace on my windshield while I drove with the windows down, photographing every mesmerizing bend of the road and the giants beside me. Awoke at sunrise the next morning to hike Overlook Point. A relatively easy trek even with the snow. Below are the images from my wanderings that morning, later rolling through the Valley of Fire. The latter destination had a bit too much sunlight and tourists for my liking (can you spot the image that I photoshopped 12 people out of?). Here in LA now. Arriving to some of the worst and heaviest rainfall and flooding this state has seen in a century. So thats really cool.
